AI SPOTLIGHT FOR JUNE
1. Midjourney V1: The AI Video Revolution Began
Midjourney has officially launched V1, its first AI video generation model, allowing users to turn a single image into four five-second video clips. The clips can be extended up to 21 seconds, with customizable camera movements and animation styles. Priced at just $10/month, V1 stands out as one of the most affordable options in the AI video space. Wharton professor Ethan Mollick notes it can produce visual styles that are difficult to replicate with other tools.
The model supports two creation modes: automatic motion, where AI determines the movement, and manual motion, where users guide the animation using text prompts. It also offers camera settings like low motion for subtle scenes and high motion for dynamic ones. Although V1 doesn’t support audio yet, Midjourney CEO David Holz calls it a foundational step toward real-time, open-world video creation.
V1 is available on both free and paid plans. It uses about 8x more GPU power than image generation, but remains more cost-effective than most competitors. Users on Pro+ plans can access unlimited rendering in Relax mode, while Fast mode is tied to monthly GPU credits.
Introducing our V1 Video Model. It's fun, easy, and beautiful. Available at 10$/month, it's the first video model for *everyone* and it's available now.

2. Tesla’s Robotaxis Hit the Streets of Texas
Tesla has officially launched its first robotaxi service in Austin, Texas, starting with a pilot program in the South Congress neighborhood. About ten self-driving Model Y cars are picking up real passengers for just $4.20 per ride. While the cars operate autonomously, a Tesla employee sits in the front seat for safety. The service currently runs only during the day and in clear weather, and is confined to a small test area.
Elon Musk called the launch the result of over a decade of effort, crediting Tesla’s AI and engineering teams. Austin was selected for its flexible autonomous vehicle laws, though local lawmakers are now reviewing regulations that could introduce stricter safety standards.
Though rivals like Waymo may be more advanced in some areas, Tesla’s robotaxi debut marks a turning point. Fully driverless rides are no longer theoretical. This pilot could reshape car ownership, urban planning, and the future of transportation and automation.
3. Google Launches Gemini CLI: AI Agent Now in Your Terminal
Google has released Gemini CLI, a powerful open-source terminal agent powered by Gemini 2.5 Pro. This tool brings advanced AI capabilities directly to your command line, offering developers 1,000 free queries per day. With support for file handling, code execution, and multimedia generation through Imagen and Veo, Gemini CLI is built for hands-on, efficient development workflows.
Unlike browser-based interfaces, Gemini CLI gives users direct control over AI tasks in a lightweight, scriptable environment. Whether you are editing files, generating images, or running code, the tool combines practical utilities with deep language capabilities. This makes it especially appealing to developers, data scientists, and AI power users who want streamlined performance without leaving their terminal.
Gemini CLI also positions Google to better compete with offerings from OpenAI and Anthropic, which are largely tied to paid tiers or web-based tools. With this release, Google is clearly betting on open access and developer-first design to drive adoption.

What is a No-Code AI Workflow?
A workflow is simply a set of steps to finish a task, like ordering coffee: check the menu, pick your drink, pay, and get it. No-code AI workflows automate these steps using smart tools like drag-and-drop builders and AI (think GPT or Gemini), no programming needed.
Unlike old systems that follow rigid rules, AI workflows learn and adapt in real time. They tag, respond and adjust automatically, saving hours of manual work. Businesses using them build faster (up to 90% quicker) and get massive ROI up to 509%.
